Tuesday, March 30, 2004 well, I have not been posting any entries since start of school as i have really too much homework to do at the beginning of the term. As for the past camp entries, i think that i shall do them when i'm really free... I shall now talk about today's stuff.. Argh... Eng Compre.. Such a nightmare, I can't believe i had such lousy time planning. I spent so much time in the first few parts of the compre that i oni had 5 MINS to do my summary.. I anticipate at least a deduction of 13 points liao... there goes my A2 dream for eng... -_-'" Can't be bothered anymore, Yuan Chang says that i will get cancer at this stage of time if i worry too much... I think it's better to let bygones be bygones... heeheez.. I'm so obsessed with Chinese Music... Nope, not chinese rock or pop.. Chinese Orchestra music.. well, i guess every sec 2 will be going to the esplanade to watch out performance... Actually, i think it's already a very good chance to go to an Esplanade theatre. It's so enormous lor, i think it's at least 5 times bigger than our school auditorium.. It's such a great chance, dun miss the chance of a lifetime. Anyway, u all would be curious about the pieces we wud play rite? We are playing a 20++ min song... And i think it's " Lady General Mu takes command" Quite a nice piece. I can't describe to you as i oni know it in Chinese.. But overall it describes the feelings of Lady Mu, as she recollects and thinks of the bloodshed and the cruelty of war... It has a very heartwarming melody and our tcher in charge even said he was so touched that he teared... Looking forward to the performance... Can't wait to step into the Esplanade Theatre...!! : ) Friday, March 19, 2004 I apologise again for not posting any entries these few days... I have been too busy with my EP3. With this, i shall postponed all of them to term 2 where i haf the time.. I'm doing my composition assignment 3 now... ... End of entry! Wednesday, March 17, 2004 Whoosh... SparkC camp oso over... Time sure flies... Oh ya, my apologises for not completing the second part of my Year 1 Annual Camp experience. Mebbe i would squeeze out some time from Sunday to complete it. Meanwhile, lemme briefly tell u about my SparkC camp adventure... a 3D2N course. |* Day 1 *| All of us who were involved in the camp went to school early in the morning and Mr Lee brought us to the SparkC site.. We were all shocked when we saw many other students from 6 others schools there too! The schools are: - Anglican High - River Valley High - Anderson Sec - Raffles Girl's Sec - Nanyang Girl's High - Victoria Sec Then we were all divided into 7 groups. Each group with 2 students from each school.. So me and Zhen Jie fell into the same group ===> Leo - Crux - Sagittarius - Cygnus - Scorpius a.k.a Scorpy *according to Yuan Chang* - Leo *My Group!!* - Taurus - Orion My group, as according to the Leader - Ai Chin. There were more flowers than thorns... as in more girls than boys.. To be exact, 8 girls 5 boys. There are my groups members... Boys: Me (TCHS) Zhen Jie (TCHS) Freddie (VS) Jansen (VS) Bryan (AHS) Girls: Wei Lin (NYGH) Xin Yun (RV) Hui Shan (RGS) Rachel (RGS) Valerie Ang (RV) Geetha (AS) Valerie Tang (AHS) Cai Ping (AS) And Oh ya! U pple muz haf seen Zhen Jie and me on the Straits Times rite? Wanna noe why we are there?? It all started when we were all seated in our groups and the camp commander started to give out the newpapers... What can we do with them? Read them of course.. So the cameramen from the Spore Press Holdings(SPH) started to flash their cameras around and Zhen Jie got a shock from one of them... heeheez... That's all. After that... we were greeted by a lightning storm.. We can't rock climb/Abseil/Flying Fox at the meantime.. So, while the rain continued, we stayed in the gather area.. Learning how to abseil properly and all other stuff.. and we even play 'Animal Farm'. About 30mins later, the sickening storm stopped. So we went out and did our flying fox. We can't do the abseiling due to the sickening storm again. Yah, and btw, Flying fox was very thrilling and fun. Juz that when u are geddin ready at the height of 9m above the ground, u would feel quite scared. But overall it was fun and we all enjoyed it.. Then after all those stuff finished... we ate our dinner and went up to our cabins to pack our bag for the trip to Pulau Ubin the next day... and later, all the groups gathered at the gather area again and played some games and including some quizzes. Soon, the night fell and it was 9pm++ when it was finally over. The boys in my group went to shower and we slept at 10.30pm++ *Actually not quite coz it was noisy*. ----------- YAwnzz... sleepy liaoz.. I shall continue my second part tmr... I shall go and sleep after 9 days of camps...... Good nite evry1. Saturday, March 13, 2004 whoosh... Year 1 camp is finally over!! and it's so fun... this is the details and brief outline of the 2 camps... I hope it's not too long... Name of Camp: Year 1 Annual Camp Venue: Chinese Garden Duration: 3 days 2 Night (2) CAMP 1 |- Day 1 -| It's raining the whole day. Can't have much fun. In the morning, all the year 1 camp leaders gathered at the study area to sort out many stuff... We took out the ProEd and iSpark cloths and sorted out the camp booklets and outline... Aphelion and Ortus leaders carried the logistics stuff to the car porch, and waited there for very very long.. Till we started to play capteh there.... = ) Haha, we saw the pple going for the JB attachment... Wonder how the event would be like? Soon, all of us turned sweaty and the Year 1 pple came... Poor me, i'm attached to Jerry Hong...we got up the bus first.... And set off, the class did not cheer in the bus... = (... It rained... rained very heavily... Can't do anything except staying in the Grand Marquee.. Argh.. We cheered when all the students got there... Had most of out activities in that area... very boring!! the rain did not stop.. day 1 was destroyed... We had to sleep at the grand marquee |- Day 2 -| Woke up early.... can't believe it is still raining...!! We had to haf some morning activities in the Grand Marquee.... But it gradually stopped in the afternoon.. we got to haf some orienteering in the Chinese Garden... It's not bad lah.. i am the station master of a station which requires lotsa water bombs... and it's normal that i got soaked after the whole thing.. Oh, u all might wonder wad is orienteering... it's smth like a series of games, erm, stations to be exact... and groups haf to complete them within a period of time... After tt, Mr Kevin Cheng gathered all of us together... Guess wad, he told us that the Aphelion and Ortus leaders can leave in the evening... as Mr Chang thinks that we all would be tired out.. HAHAZ, all aphelion leaders then decided to sort of BOYCOTT the whole camp.. all of us left before the Campfire.. and went home to take a good rest ... ...zzzZZ... |- Day 3 -| Nuthin to tok about... juz that todae, the ProEd and iSpark pupils are going back.. Aphelion Leaders met together at the Chinese Garden MRT station... My father brought me there be4 going to work... It was at 8am... and we are to meet at 9am... So i went over to the coffeeshop nearby to haf my breakfast... haha... When i went back... Woan Keng and Bryan were there... and we left our things by the gate of the MRT station... Liang Xun came not long after... Then an interesting happened.. we managed to find a spot to play our capteh... Alvin Kuk then came out of the MRT station... we tot he wud see our bags... hahaz...*wait let me control my laughter first...* All right then guess wad happened... he did not see our bags.. i think he was half asleep, he walked all the way into the chinese garden all by himself... swaying left to right carrying his luggage... hahaz.... : D.. by 9.15am, all the Leaders reached the MRT station, we went in together to help out with the dismissal... +++ Camp 1 was soon over... the Aphelion Leaders leaders ( except alvin as he went back to take his stuff) went out together to relax... We went to Cathay Cineplex.. Liang Xun, Chia Jone, Zhen Jie and me went to the top most level to bowl... hahaz... then all the leaders watched a movie ... it was Timeline.. such a nice movie.... i think it was one of the best... together with Pirates of the Carribean, Harry Potter... Then in the evening, All the leaders from all consortiums and Mr Cheng met at Jurong Point. Seoul Garden... cost us $20. But i think it was quite worth it.. We ate lotsa stuff... from Chicken to French Fries... From Yong Tau Foo to Seafood... hahaz... we even made experiment lor... Kai Xian from ProEd poured Coke into the hotplate lor... and we added cockles and mussels...hahaz.. the whole table was in a mess... Then after that, we realised that we had too much leftovers... Liang xun tot of a gr8 idea of stuffing the food into bowls and putting the cockle shells, mussel shells on top... hahaz... We all had so much fun..!! After the gr8 buffet, Mr cheng, alvin and some others went to SHOP... the rest went to the arcade.... Me, bryan, and xuan yi spent a few dollars playing the Virtua Tennis... hahaz... then we sawe Tai Boon from iSpark dance the Para Para Paradise machine... HE WAS SO DAMN GOOD LOR... all the high scores belonged to him.. 1st, 2nd.... u can count... then 10++pm, we went back to the Chinese Garden, we slept at the Grand Marquee floor... _____ This is the first part of my sort of camp diary... Check out the second part the next day... After that, i'll be going for another camp... SparkC camp... haiz... haven even touch my homework.. Saturday, March 06, 2004 Whoosh... Some entries haf been deleted... And this entry shall mark the beginning of the 9 days where i will not be blogging... 6 days - Year 1 camp 3 days - SparkC camp I guess my holiday would be jam-packed.... Well, the people involved in year 1 camp came together todae... And mr kevin cheng was so pissed off... at 10am liddat, he came into the room, slammed his things on the table... 'WHY ARE U PPLE NOT WORKING!!' blah.. blah... blah... such a long lecture, he was like questioning all the commitees and den scolding them.. Why u neva do this Why u neva do that...?? argh.... Everyone was so shocked, neva seen Mr KC liddat... At least he knew when to stop... YAH, when he finally stopped, evryone went to finalise the things they need ta do.. Me, Woan Keng and Lokky went to Beauty World to buy the fabrics needed.. Red, Blue, Yellow and Black. the uncle tried to cheat us lor, he thot that we were stupid... but we didn't argue wif him... then it's a long trip back to skool../. When we go back, we realised Mr KC wasn't there.... I guessed evry1 was slacking again// Not expected, Mr KC suddenly barged into the room again.. Why U neva do this Why u neva do that?? blah... blah... blah... -_-" another long lecture. but this time not so long, we reverted back to wad we are doing again | | till 3pm!! argh.. so long, from 9am to 3pm.. and we din't even get the chance to eat lunch... only after the meeting then we can go and eat... We went to the new restaurant at the swimming pool.. Guess wad, shortly after mr KC came too.. but he was too slow... heeheez.. sho i went off earlier.. Nuthin to scream about todae... Not much to tok about todae... Wait for 9 daes.. be4 another entry will be posted... Gd luck to evry1 taking sabbaticals ..
