today went to national library to mug with szuan, mic, lionel, shouhao and jiahao! it was quite a nice mugging session sitting at one of the tables and mug the whole day. and i realised smth. i'm gonna force myself to be a lifeless person until the end of promos! >< if you emo, u can translate it into your inner feelings and play music well. but if you emo, no matter how hard u try u cannot mug well. okay shall go back to my work. from today onwards i shall try to AVOID shuliang every morning! AHH today morning during flag raising at the high school terrace, shuliang looked at the clouds covering the sky, and kept on saying that it will be a horrible day. and it turned out to be one horrible day indeed. phew! was super tired from late night studying the day before! math test was a total GG case. i only know how to do the first out of 5 questions, and it might be wrong somemore. i was soo sianned that i waited for the time to quickly pass so that i can end my suffering. then had many many lessons. at 3.30 still had to write a GP essay. thought that i wrote one of the worst essays in my life. cannot concentrate at all X/ and not in the right mood oso. hai. im really very stressed now.. hate to be one catching up all the time. it's tiring. im really tired already. in amidst my catching-up-with-work. i fell in love with this old man. LOL. cant believe i can actually find time to watch this whole video while doing work. but its nice =) btw horowitz is around his eighties when he played this. totally fantastic. -claps claps- HEY ZHIGUANG U SHUD BE MUGGING. arhh! tmr after school having crash course on integration from mrs boo. AHHH i dun wanna take math test next week >< sure fail one! friday after ct session need to take make up chem practical. NEXT TUESDAY GOT CHEM SPA. AHHH DUN WAN. today after school went for piano lesson. totally cannot concentrate at all. din practise before the lesson and was tired! so i played like out of sorts. even my teacher asked me if i was too tired. X/ rahh NEXT TUESDAY AFTERNOON GOT PIANO EXAM. cannot go for OCIP/LCIP meeting >< AHHH! shall destress here again. i am forever stressed. can never emphasize enough of it. today was supposed to be a hectic day for me! but end up quite okay. i am still lagging in every subject. econs first! was supposed to take the timed assignment, but mdm fok told me i dont need to take it. what a relieve! lol. so while everyone was taking the assignment, i was sitting right at the front of the lecture theatre, under the clock somemore. so everyone can see me stoning there. HAHA then one of the invigilators came to ask me why i never take. and a lot of ppl looked at me and gave me that weird stare. AHH its not what i want de! i just dun understand Oligopoly and Monopolistic Competition at all! X/ okays then pw! not that bad we got a decent draft out! and a lot of things to do by friday! EoM and WR. AHH okay shall do one thing at a time. relax relax ~~~ MATH TEST NEXT WEEK. INTEGRATION - i totally DONT UNDERSTAND AT ALL. went to watch NDP yesterday! lucky lucky me! my piano teacher got an extra ticket so invited me to go! HAHA! got a very nice view of the floating stadium somemore. wah really very lucky! pictures!!         today was a slacky day! i guess i wasted another precious day to mug. and to catch up with school work. rahhwoke up late for a meeting! supposed to meet kelvin at KAP at 9am. ended up woke up at 9.45 am X/ phew! i got cheated today oso. was at the bus stop and this uncle approached me and asked for $2.80 to pay for his bus fare. i gladly gave him X/ oh man where got bus fare $2.80 de! rahh im soo stupid! national day celebrations in school today! it felt so good listening to hwachong ppl acting crazy on stage again. soo good to be home! it felt like YEARS since i came back to hwachong. and during the concert i was stoning with qiyu and qiquan. when the ppl were singing national day songs i was stoning oso! because i realised i dunno how to sing a lot of them >< arhh! i missed out on too many things already! everyone was like jumping around and being crazy. lol very long nv see such things oso! ahh im weird. =/ Tuesday, August 07, 2007
home sweet home. it's great to be back! but before i go on to talk about what happened, i shall rewind a little bit im damn pi$$ed! i had to pay a total of USD $167 for checking in my luggage. apparently i had 3 items, so need to pay. and one of my luggage exceeded the limit, so have to pay. AH! okay shall not let it spoil my mood. anyway look at my luggage when i packed it. XD  anyway that was the luggage which exceeded the limit. to think of it i was quite stupid. could have packed more wisely so i dunnd to pay that huge amount. hai. but shall not think anymore. but i rmb when it was time to bid farewell. everyone was quite sad.   and the plane rides back are totally horrible. no entertainment at all. reached school at around 12.30. there was no one at classbench because *coughs coughs* there was math alternative assessment. and in the end i went for a gp lesson and a econs tutorial! it felt super weird to be back in the classrooms again. and seeing all my classmates! it seems that i havent seem them in years! at 3.00 when lessons ended i went with kaixian binsheng and kelvin to island creamery to have ice cream. bought a reverso tub! it was nice, but again i got that very weird feeling being at island creamery.. co after that! it was great seeing everyone! although seniors are not around anymore =( , but it was still great to be in mph again. weilaoshi and lanlaoshi were there. and everyone was like slacking around, not practising. =/ but cannot help it already because everyone was busy with their stuff. being back in co after so long, it really felt as though ive just woken up from a deep sleep. at times i really felt as though im dreaming. haha! im glad that i made it for the last practice. practised dong! it is such a nice song! hope we can use it for performance or smth. towards the end of practice i was soo tired. i think the jet lag started to get into me. oh man i shall stop here! it's 6.30 already. and i have an EoM draft to complete! X/ have to hand in by tmr. ahh! its really stressful having so much work to catch up with, and so many things to do! lucky i have a national day holiday break. i'm gonna work doubly hard these few days already. jiayou me!!! [1 August] It's august already! super fast! its time for us to share our projects with one another. had to wake up at like 7am, and im the first to present at 8.45am =/ hai but the presentation went well. i wasnt that nervous because im presenting to people that i might never get to see in my life again. ppl commented that my slides looked nice and i smiled all the way! =) and generally my presentation was very good! so im satisfied already. being the first is a good thing because i get to be the first to relax. had to sit through other ppl's presentations until 5.15pm after presentations we headed back to dorm. and a group of us - singaporean guys + tomasz decided to make a trip to Harvard Square to explore. haha. was having dinner at the student's center, but yu tong suddenly disappear! end up me, greg, david, justin and tomasz took a bus to harvard. we dint explore the place much. but we went into a souvenir shop and bascially stayed there for quite some time. bought a lot a lot of souvenirs! tomasz din buy much and he was hurrying all of us to get out. when we got out of the shop the sky was dark already. so funny we decided to go back. so its like make a trip to harvard just to shop at that particular shop. X/ went back. and nothing much happened at night le. the next day there is presentations too.
so today listened to more presentations! and a special group was chosen to present again from 2 to 5pm. there were 2 singaporeans chosen out of the 10 ppl! david and greg! yay congrats to them! and david's presentation got selected as the top 5 presentations at rsi! congrats to him again. lol! everyone's presentation was so good! me and tomasz! from poland!  junliang and me! he's from shanghai! as you can see, i took lots of pictures! oops! i havent updated for 3 days already. super busy doing the paper and finally, IT'S DONE!! rahh now have to worry about the final presentation which is tmr. =/ [29 july] 29 july is a nice Sunday! i woke up somewhere in the afternoon. even though i slept from like 12 to 7pm on Saturday. i cant really remember what i did for the whole day. ooh i rmb already. i woke up at around 11am, had brunch! and started editing my paper. at 2pm there was this frisbee game! between RSI and another group of ppl who were oso there for an attachment prog. i watched 3/4 of the match and RSI students are really good at playing frisbee! our team won 15-12 in the end. yay! from 4 to around 8pm, i worked on my powerpoint slides! spent a very long time coming up with 38 slides! XD it is supposed to be a 10min presentation, but i think i have too much to talk about already. and my powerpoint file is like 20mb, due to the huge file size of the pictures! haha. after working on the slides i went to the student's center and basically worked on my paper for the whole night until around 3am once again! papers are due on monday 5pm. so i kinda completed my paper and let a few ppl read it and hear their comments on it. it was not as bad when i was doing my draft because i had the most of the things i wanted inside already. just needed to add some pictures that my mentor sent to me, and stuff. im not dead (for the assassin game) at that point of time! i walked back to dorm with david and justin so as to be safe! i have mentorship a few hours later! sure oversleep. die!
i reached northeastern university at 12pm. and when i got into the lab. everyone was like "hey zg! where were u?!" lol! XD i quickly went to find dr amiji, apologised to him and let him looked at my slides. he told me to cut cut cut down on my slides. i have far too many slides already. i went back to MIT at around 3pm. had to pay bus fares with my own money because there was no more official mentorship sessions already. had lunch and went up to the computer labs at the student's center to do some final touch-ups to my powerpoint! i did not have to rush like everyone else, because mine's more or less done. submitted my paper at 5pm! and yay we were all so happy!!! that night, i rested for a while until around 10pm. and i prepared souvenirs for everyone in the lab. wrote postcards for my mentors, and i bought crayons using the card that allows my to buy stuff on campus. XD super funny. had to do this evaluation form about the programme oso. took me very long! i only slept at around 2am. [31 july] when i bid farewell, my mentor cried X/ super sad. my eyes felt a little watery but din cry or anything. just sad. lol. but i have to go back to singapore! it's where i belong! =) =) and i went back to my dorm, took a nap all the way until 7pm. had practice session for my presentation at around 9pm. Zach, my tutor said it was not bad. okay so i'm presenting on the first day, and im the first person to present! it's gonna be super scary! cos im the first. but the good thing is that i can relax very early! it's like for the rest of the day, and for thursday i will be FREEEEEEE!! no more worries on this trip le. shall start worrying about how to catch up with school work when i go back. and i still have this EoM draft to complete by 3 aug. in singapore 3 aug, means 2 aug night for me. ARHH! how how how! okay. shall worry about things one by one. presentation first. set. ARHHHH!! |
